Anthony P. Postiglione states that The Global Philadelphia Association was founded in 2010 by nine of the leading international organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Region. There are fundamental strategies of the association;
- To improve coordination of activities and messaging among international organizations in the Philadelphia region. The Association will provide a platform for the encouragement and support of each member organization’s activities, programs and stature.
- To raise the profile of the Philadelphia region as a cosmopolitan center, both for the citizens of the region and for a world community that is not adequately aware of what the region has to offer.
